For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.
Today (Sunday) is our celebration of becoming grandparents for the very first time! Shortly after 7 AM Eastern time in New York City where they lived at the time, Caroline Blake Smith was born…11 years ago.
It was a big day! Later that same day, her grandfather retired from the church he had served for 16 years. It was a very emotional day.
Now we have 7 grandchildren all the way down to 2 years old. Little did we know how far our extended family would spread. Now we have 5 beautiful granddaughters 11, 8, 5, 5, 2 and two handsome grandsons 8 and 4 1/2.
This Scripture simply reminds us how involved GOD is in the details of our development in the womb…and how precious His thoughts are to us. What a comfort!
